Animation by vn-my.com/watchchannel/UCZj7QQVYbWAVeQdCLBXZiyw
Very intense animated emotions. It's take a but to get used to but I like it.
Do more of these
Bro ur gatekeeping literally everyone knows what blockbuster is
Not buying Netflix is just a big question on why they didnt get bought out and they could have changed things if they started the redbox
I miss video rental stores...
I like the animation style, a sequelitis type of show it actually works for this type of content
I saw the one in Bend. It was like seeing a cryptid.
The Blockbuster that we had in my Hometown was closed, but then it turned into a place called Family Video. It go shut down recently. I remember getting DS games and movies there, too.
blockbuster and chill
i remember going to blockbuster when i was kid and making fun of the poor kids the next day because i got to rent the spongebob movie for the third time that year. wonderful memories.
Man... GameStop is really dying 😢
Loved seeing the animation, I hope more of your videos in the future are also animated
i remember going to blockbuster and buying saw for the xbox 360 but that's about it. i never exactly got to experience the rise and fall of blockbuster but im glad i got to be there once i guess
Huge *RIP* too Blockbuster I feel like I'm in in another dimension that Blockbuster never existed in rn
Netflix and chill psssssh Blockbuster and Cockthruster
I proudly wear a Blockbuster and chill shirt. You wouldn't believe how many people I get walk up to me and go blockbuster.. whats that? it's sad really
That's crazy I'm 25 minutes away from the last blockbuster
Charlie please tell me how your hair gets so long in such short spam of time...
I never had a Blockbuster nearby, I always lived near Hollywood Video stores. Only time I went to a Blockbuster was one two towns away because I REALLY wanted a certain movie HV didn't have. I don't even remember what the movie was. Kinda weird really...Lived in two states way across from each other. Both places no Blockbuster, just Hollywood. They also went down in 2010, that was just the death year of video rental I suppose.
holy fuck leafy hit puberty
Yep, badgering my dad for a coffee crisp, wanting to rent a game but dad refusing because he didn't understand the system.
I worked at Blockbuster in 1999 and it was AIDS. I'm glad they're dead.
Woah woah critikal blackbustercritic already went through this topic remember?
I still owe Blockbuster my copy of Micheal Jackson The Experience for Wii
Actually Enron had a big scandal and the company shut down. So that’s it didn’t work the first time
Just like that. Charlies channel becomes an animation.
They should keep the last one open as a museum where you walk in and you can see it's full history from the start, all the way to it's downfall
Shit critical you made me cry at the near end...
Redbox is the new blockbuster. I enjoy redbox
I saw that there was 999 dislikes and I couldn't give up my chance to be 1k exactly. I like the video and helped my sister when I was a kid at a movie gallery
I knew someone who worked at Blockbuster corporate in the early 2000's... they quit shortly after because blockbuster would never implement new ideas. They died because they failed to listen to those who knew better.
I fuckin miss blockbuster man
I didn’t know there were any blockbusters left
Before Netflix and chill it was Blockbuster and cock-thruster
I hope Blockbuster makes a colossal comeback all because of their last remaining store in Oregan.
Charlie this gave me a great idea: Blockbuster 2.
I wont let our last Blockbuster die, Bend was hometown. Might have to move back! lol
I love shooting smack behind Blockbuster!
Blockbuster failed?! 😳
I went to Target the other day and I saw there's a Blockbuster tabletop game that was made fairly recently. Maybe they're not dead after all?
I have managed to enslave one cockroach. I named him jeremy. Should have not entered my room.
nothing will ever feel the same as going to blockbuster to try out a new game or movie
I could just keep watching this video over and over for some reason. I think it's the animation, his narration, and the way how he executes the vid in general.
It still doesn't make sense that the one in Alaska, a place with little to no internet, wouldn't be the last one standing.
I like the animations penguinz0
Hey guys FYI GameStop is next
Blockbuster let me experience Mass Effect, Oblivion, Assassins Creed and Borderlands back when I couldn't just ask for a new fucking game every couple weeks. I will forever be thankful for Blockbusters influence on my life.
this...was a really good video
The enron fiber optics gig would have been insanely ahead of its time. Too ahead, possibly too expensive for the time. Don't think it would have been too good because of the cost and ppl resisting such a jarring change. Its a huge leap from store rental to streaming, in 99 no less.
When you try to act older than you are... Motherfuck! You don't know what blockbuster is! shut the fuck up.
Lil Caesars took over my local Blockbuster. Fuck Lil Caesars!
So many feels with this video. Blockbuster was my first job. And besides only making 5.15 an hour, it was by far my favorite job of all time. Rest easy my friend, you will always be in our hearts and our memories.
News flash, Redbox killed Blockbuster not Netflix
i loved the animation collab
I wouldn't mind if this became more of your channel
I live 30 minutes outside of bend T I M E T O G E T M E A G A M E A N D M O V I E
1:41 GEEZ that's uh, that's some imagery for me...
Charlie grows an inch of hair every time he says "turbo" holy cow his hair is long
Blockbuster? nah family home video my guy. Pretty much Blockbuster but all the DVDs are scratched and all the employees were shit, and the video games weree 10 generations late.
I didn’t need this information, but thanks anyways
Blockbuster should expand in africa or somewhere
I think the problem is in the late 90s the infrastructure wasn’t there for what Enron wanted, fiber is expensive to run...
I thought it was redbox that killed them I remember getting cardboard ads for dvds at a closing blockbuster when I was little ;-;
Just want you to know, I really fucking enjoyed this video.
i had the same dream like two months ago
Blockbuster was the king. How about Hollywood video though, another lost relic.
Its easier and faster to pirate a movie/game then go out of your house and rent one thats a factor too
Netflix didn’t kill Blockbuster. The late fees bullshit did the trick
I think maybe Charlie doesn't know what happened to Enron hahaha
In all Seriousness, i would love more of these, semi serious interesting discussion type things. Keep it up man, and great video. :)
You should talk about the failure of toys r us, it both made me happy and broke my heart.
Considering the current oversaturation of streaming services, platform exclusive content, and the rise in piracy because of that, do you think we could benefit from a revival of the video rental system? The closest thing that really exists is dvd collections in libraries, which are free, but often incomplete (series wise).
